Our Expectations

Volunteer & Intern Guidelines

To ensure a safe, respectful, and impactful environment for our beneficiaries and team members, we ask all applicants to review and adhere to our core policies.

Eligibility & Identity

  • Volunteers must be 18+ (or provide written parental consent).
  • Internships are open to enrolled students and recent graduates.
  • Valid government-issued ID is required for verification.

Code of Conduct

  • Maintain strict professionalism and respect toward all communities.
  • Zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or unethical behavior.
  • Act as a positive representative of DFLWF at all times.

Privacy & Media

  • Protect the confidentiality and dignity of our beneficiaries at all times.
  • Photography requires explicit prior permission from management.
  • Do not share sensitive organizational data publicly.

Attendance & Time

  • Punctuality for assigned shifts and meetings is strictly expected.
  • Communicate planned absences well in advance to your supervisor.
  • Log your hours accurately using our approved time-tracking system.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all instructed safety protocols during field operations.
  • Report any accidents, injuries, or hazards to team leads immediately.
  • Dress appropriately for fieldwork as advised by coordinators.

Certification

  • Certificates are awarded only upon successful completion of tenure.
  • Academic credits depend on your university's specific requirements.
  • DFLWF reserves the right to terminate agreements for violations.
