Everything you need to know about donating clothes through Project neWISH.
Yes — pickup is completely free within a 5 km radius of Tollygunge, Kolkata. Just pack your clothes, message us on WhatsApp, and our volunteer will collect them from your doorstep at a time that works for you. For addresses beyond 5 km, you can drop off your donation at our Bansdroni office or contact us on WhatsApp to discuss arrangements.
All wearable clothing — shirts, trousers, sarees, salwar-kameez, ethnic wear, winter jackets, children’s clothes. Items should be washed and in decent, wearable condition so they can be redistributed with dignity. Torn, stained or unwearable items will not be collected.
Send us a message on WhatsApp with your name, contact number, address, and the approximate number of clothes. Our team will confirm a pickup date and time within 24–48 hours.
There is no strict minimum, but we request at least 20–25 items per pickup so the volunteer trip creates a meaningful impact. Smaller quantities are always welcome at our Bansdroni office.
40% of donations go directly to underprivileged families who need them the most. The remaining which cant be distributed are not in good conditions about 60% are recycled, and the proceeds fund free education through Modern Pathshala. Either way, every piece of clothing you donate creates real impact.
